Don’t use TinyURL if you are doing important marketing

Hi All,

I’ve been promoting Mike Filsaime’s FREE give away of his 7Figure Code product.  In my blog posts I am using the full link to product.  In my emails to my autoresponder lists which are double opt-in lists I was using a TinyURL link.  I was also using that link to send out messages to my twitter followers.  It does take up less space on a line, which in twitter is important.

For some reason, TinyURL decided that my link:

used by its creator in violation of our terms of use. TinyURL has a strict no abuse policy and we apologize for the intrusion this user has caused you. Such violations of our terms of use include:

  • Spam – Unsolicited Bulk E-mail
  • Fraud or Money Making scams
  • For some reason, TinyURL decided that my link:

My link and me messages were not spam.  Again they were only sent to double opt-in email lists and my twitter followers.  So now that TinyURL may have cost me a number of sales I’ve learned a lesson to never trust them with important marketing campaigns!
